FireCompass Taps Veteran Security Leader To Expand Global Sales for Continuous Automated Red Teaming (CART)

BOSTON, March 10, 2021

FireCompass, a SaaS company for Continuous Automated Red Teaming (CART) & Attack Surface Management (ASM), announced Paul DiBello as its Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Paul is an industry veteran with 30+ years of experience in Information Technology and Cyber Security. He has earlier led global sales at iSIGHT Partners (acquired by FireEye), R9B (acquired by Deloitte), Arbor Networks (acquired by NetScout), AT&T, and more.

“I’m privileged to join the world-class team at FireCompass. A steep rise in Cyberattacks is forcing the industry to adopt continuous security testing.  FireCompass CART uniquely combines Attack Surface Management (ASM) and safe attacks to proactively discover critical risks that need immediate action. It eliminates the need for multiple tools and significant manual effort,” said Paul DiBello, SVP Global Sales of FireCompass. “With FireCompass, Red Teaming assessments that once took weeks and months can now be completed in hours or days.”

Cyber attackers have an edge from the perspective that organizations typically conduct security testing only a few times a year on a partial list of online assets, excluding shadow IT assets unknown to security teams. Meanwhile, hackers are always attempting attacks on the entirety of their assets. FireCompass changes the game and helps security teams to gain access to the way hackers are viewing their attack surface. The vision of FireCompass is to make Continuous Automated Red Teaming (CART) available to all so that organizations can discover and test all their assets at all times – just like real attackers do.

FireCompass indexes the deep, dark, and surface web, using similar reconnaissance techniques as threat actors. The platform then automatically discovers an organization’s ever-changing digital attack surface, including exposed databases, cloud buckets, code leaks, exposed credentials, risky cloud assets, open ports, and more. The attack engine then launches multi-stage attacks, including network attacks, application attacks, and social engineering attacks, on the discovered digital surface to identify attack paths, otherwise missed by conventional tools. The solution runs continuously without the need for software, hardware, or agents.

We are looking forward to Paul driving our future growth,” said Bikash Barai, Co-Founder of FireCompass.
